Our Commitment To Accessibility

At Fivepenny Web Studio, we believe every person deserves to be seen and considered, and that includes everyone who visits our website. Digital accessibility is not an add-on for us. It is the heart of the work we do for nonprofit organizations across Southeast Texas, so it is where we hold ourselves to the highest standard.

We want fivepennyweb.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control, keyboard-only navigation, or other assistive technology.

Conformance Standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

What We Do to Support Accessibility

• Use clear headings, landmarks, and a logical reading order so pages are easy to navigate with assistive technology
• Provide text alternatives for meaningful images
• Ensure all functionality can be used with a keyboard alone
• Choose colors and text sizes that meet contrast requirements
• Label form fields and provide clear error messages
• Write in plain language and avoid unnecessary jargon
• Test pages with automated tools such as WAVE and with manual checks, including keyboard and screen reader testing
• Review the site again whenever we add or change content

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible. Content provided by third parties, such as embedded payment forms (Stripe, PayPal), scheduling tools, or embedded video, may not fully meet our standards. Where we know of an issue, we work to fix it or to offer an accessible alternative.
