The Story Behind The Name
In Luke’s gospel, two sparrows are sold for one farthing. With two farthings, five sparrows could be purchased, and the fifth sparrow was considered to have no value. Yet Jesus reminds us that not even one sparrow is forgotten by God. If God cares for the sparrows, how much more must He care for us?
